Import/Export Sketch with fully defined geometry

Having a slight issue when importing a sketch from another abaqus file. The sketch imports absolutely fine but it doesn't retain any of its geometries. This is for quite a complex part that i have created a lot of references dimensions for so will be a complete pain to have to redefine everything. A work around is obviously just to change the dimensions before exporting/importing but this feels like a stupid way of doing it. I have tried with both SAT and STEP files for the import and neither work. Any help would be appreciated!

Exporting to a neutral format may result in loss of data. I would consider a different approach like recreating the sketch with macro or Python script instead.
