hi experts ,

I have created 5 local CSYS in Unigraphics and trying to import in Ansys. The csys are not imported/ showing in ansys. Is there any way i can import many local csys oriented in different directions in ansys or it is not possible ?

I dont want to create them in Ansys as the CSYS are already available from Unigraphics.

let me know your comments

cheers,
Karthikeyan

CSYS 5 is a coordinate system internal to Ansys. You can specify coordinate systems starting from 11 and up. Unless there is a way to export text files with coordinate system parameters into Ansys I think it's just easier to recreate them in Ansys.

It's an issue we also have where I work. We use NX4 and Ansys 11. None of the WCS's are transfered into Workbench even if the flag is on.
Probably, as Stringmaker says, it's a matter of renaming the WCS's of NX so that they take numbers higher than 11. I don't know, I never tried it.
