Does anyone have any experience with getting a plant layout from Revit into SW? We are working with a potential customer, but to get our machine into their plant is going to require them to move some machines out of the way just to get ours into the open space they currently have. They are going to have a company do a 3D scan of the facility and then turn it into a 3D model from point cloud data (at a cost of around 18K [shocked]). I know SW would choke on point cloud data from an entire plant. Just curious if anyone has had to deal with this and if the experience was good or bad?

Our Assembly models slow our laptops down as it stands today, getting a monster STL file (example file I was told could be around 20MB) of a plant layout might prove to be unmanageable.
