Imported Sheetmetal Problem 1

I imported a sheetmetal part from IGES into SW2007 SP3.1.

After making a fully dimension drawing based on this model, I realized that my flat blank size is wrong. I tried to adjust the k factor in the sheet metal feature in the tree, but to no avail. I then realized that SW made each of the 13 sketched bends with the default radius checkbox unchecked and the custom bend allowance checked. After correcting this, I tried adjusting the sheet metal feature again; this time I tried changing the k factor as well as the bend radius. I also tried changing individual sketched bends. There was no change to the flat blank size at all.

Has anybody run into this before? Am I missing something obvious here? Any and all suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I have run into the issue you are describing. it usually happens with parts our customers sends parts that are not drawn the best way i personaly find it easier and faster to redraw it than to sit there and debug it. if somebody does know a quick way to solve that please do share i am also interested.

Assuming that the finished part is the correct size and you wont need to make any changes to it later:

You can save the finished part out as a parasolid and then open the parasolid file up in solidworks. This creates just a dumb-solid of the finished part, eliminating any bend information that was stored in the previous file.

Now you can re-create the bends back into the solid part with whatever bend radius and k-factor you would like to use. This should give you the correct flat pattern that you are looking for.
