I am using SolidWorks 2016, and am returning to working on it after being off it for several years.
Can a parasolid file be imported directly into an existing SolidWorks model file ?

Honestly, this question should have been in forum559.

But to answer your question: No, you have to open the Parasolid file and save it as a part\assembly and then you can either insert it into a part (if its a part) or if the Parasolid opens as an assembly you can insert your part\assembly into the Parasolid assy or make a new assembly and insert both into the new file.

Hope that answers your question.
