Hello everybody,

Hope you are all fine.

I have modelled a sheet metal forming process using Abaqus implicit with a USDFLD subroutine which models the microstructural evolutions during the forming process. Now, what I am trying to do is importing the post-formed part into a new explicit analysis to examine impact behaviour of the part. I have done these steps in this regard:

1- Defined restart requests in the implicit analysis to get the implicit analysis resultas written in restart files.
2- Defined "Predefined field" in the explicit analysis and called the the results from the implicit analysis as Initial state (Abaqus documentation: Transferring results between Abaqus analysis).

However, I am getting the below error when running the explicit analysis:

"THE MATERIAL NAMED Blank Mat USED IN THE PREVIOUS ANALYSIS IS NOT FULLY SUPPORTED FOR IMPORT. CURRENTLY STATE VARIABLES ARE TRANSFERRED ONLY FOR LINEAR ELASTIC, HYPERELASTIC, MULLINS EFFECT, HYPERFOAM, TIME DOMAIN VISCOELASTICITY, MISES PLASTIC, KINEMATIC AND COMBINED HARDENING, MOHR COULOMB PLASTICITY, CLAY PLASTICITY, CONCRETE DAMAGED PLASTICITY, CONNECTOR BEHAVIOR, AND USER DEFINED MATERIAL MODELS WHEN THE STATE=YES ON THE *IMPORT OPTION."

I have recognise one of the possible casues. In abaqus documentation, I have seen that only user subroutines UMAT & VUMAT can be defined in the first analysis, while mine is USDFLD. Is it the root cause of the problem?

Could you please kindly help me to understand what is going wrong? Please let me know if you need more info to understand the problem.

Thank you very much in advance
Amir
