I have a .tbr file that has all kinds of macros and custom stuff that I want to use in Nx3. Trouble is, is that this toolbar was created in Nx2. I can customize Nx3 all I want but my changes don't stick. Where do I need to put this file or point to it so that every time I start Nx3 I can use those buttons without having to load the toolbar every time? Thanks in advance.

Recommended for you

First create a folder with any name you wish.

Next, inside this folder create another folder titled 'startup'.

Place your .tbr file in this second folder.

Now go 'My Computer' and under...

System Properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables...

...in the 'User Variable' area add the following:

UGII_USER_DIR=<path to the folder created in the 1st step above>\ (make sure you include that last backslash)

Now log-off Windows and log back in and restart NX. Your toolbar should now be available. Note that it might not be turned on so you will need to go to Customize and toggle it on and place it where desired. Once you've done that it should be there whenever you launch NX in the future. If you're using a Role, be sure to update it after you make these changes so that your Role will also know to display the new toolbar.

Thank you. Works perfect.
