Before I started here everything was done in AutoCAD 2002. Well, I have been redrawing a piece of equipment in Pro/e and making several changes to it. However, there are a few pieces with some complex curves that I want to import. But when I try to import anything from AutoCAD the files won't show up in the "open" menu. I've tried saving them as everything available in AC from R14 DXF/DWG's to 2002 DXF/DWG's, but Pro/e just doesn't seem to recognize them.

Is there something I need to have set somewhere? or something I'm missing?

Are there any spaces in your autocad file name? If yes, please remove them (or put underscore character "_").

Ugh! I feel really stupid. That was it. I completely went blank on that one.

Thanks!

Pro/E is not fully Windows compliant, even though PTC claims it to be. It is usually in the translator functions where this gets overlooked. UG had the same problem for a number of releases after they claimed to be MS compliant, also.
