I am using Floworks for Solidworks 2007. One of the big issue I have is to import CAD and using it to create a CFD model.
Whether it is parasolid, IGES, or original part file (assembly), there are gaps. These gaps are making the model to fail.
When running diagnostics on part import it shows that some 130 surfaces are not joined properly (incorect contact). The problem is these gaps have been created purposely to show where weld should be made.
Q1: What is your experience of importing CAD file for Floworks , what works best ?
Q2: If you had experience with such problem as inconsistent contact, how did you go about making things work ?
Q3: SW07 has new features in surfaces, such as boundary surfaes which could be used as filling gaps, anybody had experience with that ?
