Importing IDF files into Inventor 2008 Pro

My collegue uses Altium designer 6.6 to design PCB's, when I import the brd and lib files into inventor only the board is shown and none of the components. All the otions are selected when he exports the IDF (components, holes etc...). Not sure whos end the problem is but we need the model to create wiring looms. Only other option is to create STEP of IGES but would very much like to get the IDF to work.

I believe you need a 3rd party plug-in to support ECAD data, don't you? For a test, you might want to send these guys your IDF file and they will send you an Inventor assembly back.
