I have a task to create a regular (isomesh) on a CATIA model of an aircraft winglet/wingtip.

I am by no means an expert in manipulating geometry in Catia/Patran. However I am noticing that when I import the wingtip IGES model into Patran, several approximations seem to be taking place, which make the mesh creation a nightmare. Essentially the geometry becomes less "clean" upon importing.

The surfaces seems to be split cleanly in Catia, however the surfaces in Patran seem to be defined by two separate edges - leading to a nightmare when defining mesh seeds, etc.

I appreciate that this is not particularly specific, but if anyone has some general tips/tutorials for importing Geometry into Patran and Meshing, which address and overcome common issues, that would be very useful.

Regards,
