I seem to be in a constant battle with logos. I've previously been successful sketching logos and then saving them as blocks, but the logos are becoming more complex.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a program or process that allows the user to convert an image file into an outline for a sketch or directly into a sketch.

I've searched the site and found a thread talking about it with the 2001+ version of SolidWorks. But im curious if there is another way other than using a Bitmap

If you can get the logo into some format that SW considers a foreign drawing format, you may be able to use the "2D to 3D" tools within SW.

Are you creating the logos from scratch, or importing and converting from another program? If the latter, what format are you receiving?

If the logo is a bitmap, there are various vector conversion programs available. Although not very good, SW has the Autotrace module.
