Dear Forum,

I would like to import a Patran mesh into LS-Prepost. I am using Patran 2004. I have set the analysis code in Patran to LS-DYNA3D, which should allow an output file to be created (in the form of a keywords .k file) which can be directly read by LS-Prepost. But the only output form I can currently select is .db

Is this a license problem? Is an extra license required for creating the correct output format?

Another option is to export the geometry from Patran in iges format but unfortunately this does not import the mesh.

Thank you.

If you need to export mesh/boundary conditions and loads, use the bdf file format.

there is also the neutral format, but I don't remember what exactly it supports.
