I have a text file containing approximately 1000 xyz points that I ultimately need to be in IGES format so that I can import it into Kubotek Validation. My first thought was to import it into SW as a point cloud and then save out as an IGES, but when I go to save out it tells me "No available entities to process through IGES". SO I'm thinking I first have to convert the point cloud into a 3D sketch of points and then try to save it out, but so far I have not found a practical way to do that with a 1000 points. Anyone have an idea as to how I might accomplish this? Or is there a better way to go about this?
And I'm using SW2015 Premium with Scanto3D, and from what I can tell that addon only creates meshes and curves from points clouds.
