Importing points?

Looking to import survey points into draftsight.

The points will be in CSV (comma separated values) format, PNEZD (point number, northing , easting (x), elevation (z), description).

I would like it to display the point number above description on screen at the appropriate coordinates.

I am not familiar with writing scripts, but I imagine that is the only way to do this.

I tried bring the CSV file into excel and write a simple script like:

Point
M
(then list the coordinates)

Looks like I got points in appropriate spots, but how to I complete it with the point number and description?

Is there a way I could put the points in AutoCAD and then get them over to draftsight?
