importing step files using Ideas version 8 m2 and xp

I learn how to do this with iges files but now I would like to know how to import step files using Ideas version 8 m2 and xp
For iges file you type in /xto co bo fc im
This does not work for step files however

Assuming you have a license for the STEP translator then it's likely that it's not working due to the Orbix Daemon not working correctly and that's why you're using the /xto co bo fc commands.

There is no equivalent command to get the STEP translator working.

Orbix may not be working due to incorrect OS. If you aren't running on W2K then you need to be.
