Hi guys!!!!!

Is there anyone of you guys who happens to have an experience on assembling push-up pins? Push-up pins, by the way, is a tool used to remove chips (in an upward direction) from the wafer before it is wire-bonded. This tool is very common in the semi-conductor industry and our company is making a lot of them. But believe me guys, assembling this tool is very labor-intensive. As a matter of fact, our production yield for this device is less than 50%. Just imagine the waste in materials and labor. I think our assembly method needs an overhaul. We have tried some improvement activites, but we didn't get favorable results.

Can you share your ideas?

Thank you.
