I am doing a project where I have to install in-line filtering of lube oil system for turbine bearing, at them moment purification is being done by purifier which is not good enough.

Can someone please advise supplier of such system or advise on what is the best solution for it

thanks

The original turbine manufacturer is best suited to provide an in-line filter system. Adding a filter to the system will cause more pressure drop in the system. Excessive pressure drop could result in insufficient pressure at the bearings. The original manufacturer has the records/calculations for the lube oil system and can most easily specify the filter and/or decide on modifications to other components in the system.

I would suggest an absolute filtration level of 25 microns to minimize damage from any hard particles allowed to flow to the bearings.

Best of luck!

The Hilliard Co of Elmira NY has experience in this area and is the supplier to several large OEMS of their turbine filtration equipment. Google'm.

Thanks stgrme, rmw for you reply it was my first post here.

I had a proposal from Ansaldo who are the manufacutrer but I have to come up with three best solutions/supplier.

Also Ansaldo's filtration grade is 100 microns which is not good enough.

I got full spec of lube oil and know bearing head pressure so pressur drop due to filter can be increase by raisng the initial pressure.

Thanks
