The question I have is with the Flange feature of Generative SheetMetal and most importantly the K Factor.
I’ve created a spreadsheet of our company standards for material thickness; bend radius, and K Factors. When I create SheetMetal parts I pick from this table for my parameters and CATIAV5 fills out the panels for Thickness, Default Bend Radius and K Factor. I believe at this point everything pretty much works, as it should when I create bends hopefully it’s using my K Factors from my spreadsheet.
Here is the problem when I create a flange using the Flange feature within CATIAV5 Generative Sheet Metal design I then look at the Flange definition dialog box. There is a default value of 0.5 and the panel is white, if it would had used the spreadsheet value the panel would have been a gray color. I can manual tie the two values together using Edit Formula but why should I have too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
