Incorrect weight with sheet metal part flattened

Environment: Teamcenter 9 (9.1.2.2(20130222.00))and NX 8.5.1.3
Problem: If I create a flange on a simple model and after that use flat pattern, and if Update Weight Data Now
is accessed in the navigator using Properties, the weight is almost 3 times too big. If the same procedure is
performed in native mode (NX 8.5.1.3), the weight will remain unchanged. Is this a known problem only in the
TC environment?

We had a simmilar problem to this when we first starting using NX7.5 and TC8, because the Weight was calling up a "full weight" from the solid, the flat pattern and the hidden (inside flat pattern) flat solid. It turned out to be a bug that needed fixing through GTAC.

While it was fixed, we used the workaround to delete and recreate the SOLID reference set, selecting only the finished solid body.
