Industrial plant electrical diagrams resources

Hello everyone,
I would like to read and interpret electrical diagrams (one-line diagrams, circuit diagrams..) of industrial plants (like industrial water plants), but I really don't know how to understand them, for example the symbols, exc...
I'm an energy engineer so I don't know much about this, could you please advise some resources for this purpose?

Google ANSI symbols as a start, assuming ANSI applies. Everybody seems to have their own flavor of things. I was just reviewing schematics from a utility in a different region and it took me a while to catch on to their nuances and nomenclature.
