Does anyone know of a standard procedure for an infiltration / inflow study for public sewers?

Thanks

What is the purpose of your study?
For an general system overview, what existing sewer plant inflow records exist and compare the daily inflows daily rainfalls? What is your daily and seasonal sewer flow variations? What is your dailey and seasonal water consumption? What is you pipe inventory (length/sizes/distribution/age/depth) and what is the allowable maximum design inflow? Do you have access to a measuring wier or device to check the flow in various branches/trunks?
What is the water table variation and the pipe depth? There are lots of questions depending on what you seek to achieve. Clifford H Laubstein

Hello there,

Does anybody know to convert Agg base or Bituminous surface from cubic yard to Ton? Actually I have the convert rate, but I really want to know how that number come from.
Thanks.

Wow! That's a tall order. To provide an answer what will be the purpose of the study? Is it relative to the design life/capacity of the treatment plant, or suspected groundwater/storm infiltration or environmental concerns relative to exfiltration or leaching of effluent into the surrounding soils? Or is it relative to setting up a replacement program?I have done a few of these studies and they can take on a life of their own.
