Information about ASME Code

I m a mechanical engineer in a power plant. I have to manufacture a vessel. When i study its design specification. following ASME CODE is mentioned there.
ASME CODE : UN 12C
Kindly inform me briefly about this code.

There is no such pressure vessel code;- the ASME Section VIII, Division 1, 2 or 3 are the valid codes for Boiler and Pressure Vessel design and fabrication. Please have another look and confirm the letters mentioned in your post.

These two statements don't jive. If you work in a power plant, then you aren't a vessel manufacturer. I have real problems when utilities think they can 'do it all.' Does your plant have a U stamp? Are you a 'qualified' vessel designer? Do you have qualified WPS(s)?

UN 12C is not a valid serial of any boiler or pressure vessel code.
