I'd always thought this process required impossible temperatures and the products were impossible to separate. Recently I noticed this company, SHEC Labs which claims to have a workable process operating at around 800 degC and producing useful outputs. A US patent filed 1999. issued 6,521,205 in 2003.
My question is, is this a significant development? Their website doesn't provide sufficient data on capacities, efficiencies or capital costs for me to get a feel for what they're doing. Has anyone else had any experience in this field, e.g. enough to get a feel for the information on the web site? I've read the patent and can't see any technical flaw, but no information is provided for an economic evaluation.
Thanks
