Good day gents, looking for some advise with regards to materials, I have a pipline Spec B31.4 and a pipeline to API 5L X52 wall thickness of 19.1mm coming up to a pig trap with a 14" major barrel at API 5L X60 which has a higher yeild strenth than the X52 therefore we can have a thinner wall thickness. My question is with regards to the eccentric reducer and a 14"X10" red tee which is part of the trap arrangement, all falling under B31.4.(Piplines)
The equivelant piping spec for this pressure pipe would require that I use schedule 160. Can you specify that you require the fittings to be the same grade as the pipe, as the sched 160 makes the wall thickness 33.3mm to much for normal pigging operations.
