Is there a way to auto close the information window? Like the info window when updating a part family or when you did a rename in TC the info window always pop up.

Best regards,

Michaël.

What you may want to do is when it opens up for the first time in your session make it really small (by moving the borders) and move it to a corner of your screen, and leave it there. Any new info windows will open up in it.

It's easier to just 'Minimize' it and the 'Restore' it is you wish to see the listing. Once warning, if you do choose to 'Minimize' it (do as Jerry suggested) when you do 'Restore' the window later you will see that everything which had been directed to the window will have been retained, which means it could be a very long listing. Now that can be good if you performed several operations which sent stuff to the listing window as you will now be able to see those several outputs at once, side by side, as it were. Remember also that the contents of the listing window can be either saved to a text file or printed. Also you can 'edit' contents of the list windows, cutting & pasting or simply typing and deleting, prior to saving as a text file or printing it.

Ok guys i understand the importance of the information window, and the tip of minimizing it and put it out of sight is a good one. I had the habit of closing it every time but it just keeps popping up, especially when you are working with a lot of nested family tables. I KNOW that this or that part is read-only.
Anyhow thanks for the clarification.

Michaël.
