I just installed SW on me new computer. Some of the things I grew used to in my old installation are: automatic updating of parts within an assy, vis. If you make changes to a part it is automatically brought into the assy the next time you open it. This went away in my new installation and I want it back, How?

Go to Tools->Options and reset the options you want. There may a way to transfer the settings by exporting a registry setting, but I hear that sort of thing is flaky at best.

The only thing that comes to mind now is...

System Options>Drawings> enable "Allow auto-update when opening drawings".

After you open an assy, can you Crtl-Q and will the changed parts appear/update?
