Hey there,
I´d like to simulate a composite material with matrix and fibres in a prestressed condition (due to different CTE). Therefore I have to take into account that the material´s response due to the stressed condition changes with the amount of prestress.
In Ansys there´s the command "INISTATE" with which I can impose an initial stress condition (S1,S2,S3,...) to materials, elements or integration points.
Is there a similar command for LS-Dyna (preferably accessible through Ansys as a preprocessor). How can I account for the initial stress state WITHOUT simulating a thermal load step first.
Thx a lot,
Maddog
