Is there a way to prevent H2S scavenger injection quills from blocking. We currently injecting an H2S scavenger to a natural gas pipeline, but the quills seem prone to blocking (we suspect). There are currently filters in place between the scavenger tank and the quills.

Many thanks

The injection point is located after a gas/oil/water separator. It is difficult to identify whether they are blocking from the inside or outside because the system has to be flushed first before the quills can e retrieved (company health and safety regulations), and backflushing the system unblocks the quills.

Normally we would use a carrier fluid to dilute the scavenger to help address plugging issues. However, you may not have that luxery since you are injecting into a gas line. The size and orientation of your quill can play a big factor as well. When I say orientation I mean whether it is injected against the flow or with the flow.
