INJECTION WELLS DESIGN

I would like to know where I can find design guidelines for injection wells. The injection wells are to be used for rainfall infiltration.
I would need information regarding the testing of the underlying soil/rock formations, selection of well diameter and materials, etc.

Not my area of expertise, but you may want to discuss this subject with a reputable dewatering contractor, such as Griffin Dewatering or Moretrench Corporation. The Corps of Engineers (check their website) and Navfac Design manuals may also be of help.
