Is it possible to create a text input field in part model which is master dimension.

I have created a formula based part. All formula will refer to one master dimension.

As soon as the part file opened, it should ask the master dimension.

So that I can enter the master dimension and save as new file.

I often start my models by creating sketches that define the critical geometry for the part, but they aren't used directly for any extrudes or feature creation. I will name them something like MASTER PLAN GEOMETRY or something like that. Then I create new sketches for each extrude tying them to those geometry sketches. That way I can control the main features of the part directly from two or three sketches right at the top of the feature tree.

Any dimension can be defined by an equation referring to the value of another dimension or a global variable. Read up on the subject in help.
