Hi.

I'm, working with Solid Edge V20 and i want to know if it's possible to have the surface of this pieces (the surface appears, only half of the surface of all the sheet metal) (see the attachment) automatically and insert the information in "draft". So, if i make a modification, the surface update automatically in my "draft". I know is it possible to create a formula in "variable table", but with a complex piece the formula is it complex. i search a simply method.

Thank you

Hi,

I'm unable to open your .docx. Am I right that you would
like to show a (construction) surface in your draft?
When this is the case in draft
- select the view
- RMB --> properties
- tab Display there on top 2nd row, 3rd button from
left (Parts Lists Options)
- select List Constructions
then to the right activate Show and set other options for
the display

Thank you, but is it not want i want.

If the surface of my pieces is 12 sq ft, in my draft i have a case "area" and is write 12 sq ft. If a modify my pieces, the sq ft are now 15 sq ft, the case sq ft is changing. To have automatically the good sq ft, i need to insert the half surface area of my sheet metal. I know is it possible to make a formula in the variable table in .PSM but is it complicated. Do you have a more easy methode.

Thank

/Edit
the area value is based on the flattened model. When that's
not possible I've no idea other then to write a small program
that calculates the area and sets a custom variable
