Inserting a PDF image into a drawing

I am using WF4 and want to insert a PDF into a drawing. Using Insert>Object results in a thumbnail only linked to the image. I have found that copying the PDF and pasting it into a word file, then inserting that word file into the drawing works, however this results in a low quality image. Is there a better/higher quality way of doing this?
