i attempted to use the paste special to insert a pdf into my paperspace. the quality of the picture degraded as it was inserted into AutoCAD.

i could get the inserted PDF to be of acceptable quality if i matched the size of it in AutoCAD with the size of the image in Acrobat. at this point the dwg still printed out poorly.

any suggestions? i need the image to become apart of the dwg (attached).

You might try inserting it into model space and then zooming a viewport in on it as required- not sure if this would fix anything, but worth a try.

I am thinking that ACAD brings the PDF file in a picture format. Check with the reference toolbar to see if the pdf file has a file pathway. If it does then the picture can be adjusted some what using the reference toolbar. Hope this helps.

i tried placing the imagine in model space and using paper space to size the image without success.

the PDF is created from a JPEG.

when i paste special the image, i am using independent entry, so there is no filepath in exsistance. i want the image to be attached to the drawing.

It has work well for me in the past with documents and spec sheets, it seems like AutoCAD cannot handle the resolution of the picture.

thanks for all the suggestions.

Have you tried attaching the image as a JPEG? The "IMAGE" command.
