I have searched through the archived threads, but quite a bit of time has passed since this question was last addressed.

Is it possible to insert Acrobat .pdf files directly and easily into AutoCAD? I thought the answer to this was no, unless you modified (i.e. converted it to a tiff file, etc.)the pdf first or embedded it using AutoCAD's OLE function. However, I was just told by a technical support guy that this is now possible, starting with AutoCAD 2005. I went to Autodesk's website and did a basic search but I couldn't find any info.

Thanks for any info on this.

You can insert a pdf as an OLE object in R2005 but it does not show or plot the pdf file - only a placeholder. Pretty useless, IMHO

We have nevered figured out how to insert a pdf. We always convert to tiff first using a batch convert program.
