Inserting views into drawings 1

Is there anyway to change the 3 standard views (say to top, front and left) that are created when you insert the model into the drawings?

Open your template and RMB and go to properties and change third angle to first angle. Then save your template.

That changes it from Front, Right & Top to Front, Right, & Bottom.

That's all the choices you have to changing the views that I'm aware of.

Also, it depends on the model orientation. In your drawing, if you have a face that is the top and you want that changed (say to the right), then you have to reassign your orientation in the model. Ray Reynolds

In 2003 you can set up templates with Predifined views in them. You can then populate those views with your model. See page 8-2 of you Whats New document. You can also go under help and in the index type in Predefined. BBJT CSWP

Changing to to first angle projection also changes how the part is rolled for visualization. I'm sure you knew that, but it can be very dangerous if it goes undetected.
