Inspection/Survey

I am preparing for an electrical inspection/survey of an existing commercial office building? The existing electrical system is to be inspected for code compliance, deficiencies, safety hazards, etc.

Is there a good book or reference out there that anyone recommends which covers how to perform this type of inspection/survey?

It depends on what country you're in.

In the US you'd really need the NEC handbook and you'd need to go over a few spots in it and then any strange aspects specifically that your building has. Otherwise, get an inspection and let them tell you what they're unhappy with, if anything.
