inssert for trace

In the past I have worked on a scanned document that was inserted into ACAD that I then traced.

I have PDF files that I want to trace certain details to add to an ACAD doc. How do I add this background?

you can cut and paste a pdf into AutoCAD. If you have Adobe Acrobat you can save the pdf as a jpg and insert the jpg into AutoCAD for better resolution.

You can also go to the view pull down menu and invoke OLE which in itself is a copy and paste feature.
