Instance geometry and blends

Is it possible to have blends associated to a hole be carried along when instancing geometry along a path ? I thought that this used to be true.

If you are working with "edge blends" expand the "settings" menu in there, and toggle on "blend all instances"

What version of NX are you using? If it's NX 8.0, are the holes being instanced using the new Pattern Feature?

This isnt a command thats available under 'Instance Geometry'

Instance the feature first, and then add the blend(s) to one of the instances, with "blend all instances" toggled "on".

Until we see some images (or the model itself), I suspect that we're wasting our time making recommendations since it feels like there's more to this that what can be gleaned from the info provided.

See attached movie file....
1. Part itself
2. Have located circle geometry and extruded a hole. Picked Instanced Geometry and set up the pattern for 150 holes.
3. Now I have a pattern of 150 holes. THese are extruded and subtracted
4. Next the Edge Blend tool is choosen with Face Edges as the default.
5. The result buries the blends in the solid. Otherwise, I have to choose each hole to give me my blended edge.

Unlike the Instance Feature tool, Instance Geometry does not have an option to carry hte blend through the instance pattern. Unless Im just not seeing.

The 'blend option' mentioned by Jerry only works with 'Feature Instances'. Why didn't you use a Circular Feature Instance Array to create those holes?
