Hi guys,
I want to put together two parts from two different Abaqus models. One of the parts was analyzed and now has residual stresses and deformations. I want want to assemble this deformed part with its residual stresses to the other part. Therefore I wrote restart data from the original analysis and then imported the deformed part into the new analysis (where I want to assemble both parts) and then put an predefined field (initial state) on the deformed part. This on its own works. Then I translate the two instances and constrain them together. But when I start the job, the deformed part always is put back to its initial position and not connected anymore to the othr part...
Can someone tell me how I can translate an Instance that has an Initial State Predefined Field on it without abaqus translating it back to its original position during the analysis?
And how do I connect two Shell instances together with constraints best?
Thanks a lot guys!
