can anyone tell me how to multi-instantiate parts of a product in 2 axis. I can achieve this in 1 axis but can not detrmine how to control the co-ordinates in the other axis.
Di i have to input a ratio?

You can only select 1 axis. But, you could create a line to position the part where you would like. What I usually do, is just instance in any direction and use the snap function to re-position the part.

Thanks, Dura_Jay,
I played around with it some more and found that by adding a line between the two points, in this case the rise and run of a stairway, I could enter the distance as the length of the line and select the line for direction.

Seems to me it would be a lot easier if it was possible to just enter the values for each axis.

Copy+paste the part in place. Then snap the compass to the part. Double click the compass. Enter the x, y, z translation and rotation values as desired. (Or use the "measure" button to auto fill in the x, y, z values.
