Hi, I used cohesive element with traction-separation option to simulation debonding of two parts (Quade failure criteria is used)? In the integral contour of cohesive zone, it is force distribution or stress(Mises) distribution? I am confused.

hi..i am trying to work with cohesive section...can we create zero thickness cohesive zone in one part..i know how to use it for two parts...but i need to use it within one part using the partision concept...

thanks

Try orphan mesh-->Edit mesh (solid or layer off-set). You can find out in the documentation. By the way, in your two-part cohesive model, can you delete the elemetn once it failed?
