I have this vessel, with a shell made from pipe, which has at the top and at the bottom welded two integral reverse flange.
I verify this flanges acc. to appendix 2 and they pass the calcs. Question: do I need to do other verifications? For example, considering them as flat head with openings....or is it enough what I've done acc. to appendix 2? thanks

ElCidCampeador, the Apx 2 calcs should do it for the flanges themselves if they fit within the scope, i.e. no unusual features not addressed by the Appendix.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
