Our company has been using EPDM for two years now. It was configured by one of our engineers. To revise a drawing, an ECR is initiated. The data card fields- changes, reasons, disposition etc. are filled in and then it is sent for approval. The PE approves the ECR and it goes to Doc Control to be unlocked for me to work on. I check the drawing out and enter the same information again into the part data card.
My question is, can the ECR data card inputs be carried over automatically to the drawing so the information doesn't have to be entered twice?

supercub,

What are you doing, copying text letter for letter? Can you use Windows copy and paste?

The objective is to eliminate that.

I think its possible, but it would have to be programmed to do that. I don't think that is an out of the can process. If there is no one there that can write it, then your next best solution would be your VAR.

Do you use EPDM, and is your ECR integrated? The engineer that configured it has taken another position and we don't have a dedicated Admin, so I guess that is the only option.
