Whats the reason for grounding a intercooler ?

Next time its cool and dry.. put a high impedance o-scope across the block to an unbonded intercooler and you will see some potential. Been voltwhacked by a 3 bar boost cng application that was on a dyno with the intercooler suspended by the silicone hoses.
