Geotech report gives me a interface friction angle of 17 degrees. Do I take the tan 17 to get my coefficient of friction for sliding design? That would give me 0.31, which would be in line with concrete on soil based on what I am seeing for concrete on soil for sliding resistance.
Thanks

Yes. Interface friction angle and coefficient of sliding friction are the same thing, just expressed a different way.

Tangent of an Angle = Opposite Side (blue in my sketch) divided by the Adjacent Side (red).
