Intermediate Flange Calculations

Hello everyone!!
I am working on IU style Blow out Preventer design calculations. But, I didn't have an idea how can i calculate rectangular Intermediate flange thickness. Please somebody help me for this. And it will be nice if someone tell me reference book which i should use for BOP related calculations.

appears this matter is not your specialty nor you are familiar with design criteria, codes, standards, etc.

due to the health and safety risks involved, probably best to coordinate BOP design with BOP mfg or get a competent individual to conduct this work.

as you said, It is right that I am new to this field. It will be nice if you tell me from where should I start to study this kind of bop designs. And please give suggestion for reference book?
