Is it preferred to chamfer or radius the leading edge of an internal spline? More specifically on an internal spline adapter? I have attached a picture showing a spline adapter with the leading edge chamfered.

As mfgenggear notes, a 60deg included chamfer at the outer edges of the blank ID is helpful for mounting the part between centers for inspection. The chamfer at the blank ID is also helpful for shaping the internal spline teeth. However, I would not extend the chamfer beyond the pitch diameter of the spline teeth. This will reduce the effective engaged face length of the spline for load capacity calculations.
