You can also directly contact any of the major international engineering firms.

Hi, am thankful though the applications i have made have not been replied . i will still try till i get one. if i may ask , what do they look for first?

What they look for is that you offer a unique set of skills or qualities that cannot be easily found in their domestic population.

Were I in your shoes, I'd be looking at trying to hook up with an oil company in Nigeria. Can you move to Nigeria and then start looking for work?

Or, start the process of emigrating to another country and *then* try finding a job.

I think it's very, very difficult to land a job from overseas. Practically speaking, unless you've got some highly specialized skills and just the right experience, it's likely that you'll continue to experience what you are.

Keep in mind that US companies are typically inundated with applicants for any available engineering position. They can be and are very, very selective. Again, you must have specialized skills and germane experience if you're going to get noticed.

I've heard that the Irish economy is booming that they're openly accepting immigrants. Apparently, Australia is also suffering from a dearth of engineers.
