I started this group because I did not find any other source for information specifically for Fluid Power. I am a Certified Fluid Power Specialist and enjoy learning and teaching about Fluid Power issues. I plan to post tips and ideas as well as ask my own questions where I need help.

I need to find some help configuring what I'm sure is a very simple pneumatic remote control system. I need to be able to open and close 5 ball valves connected to pneumatic air cylinders utilizing a remote control device with a 10 channel relay system. Not sure exactly what type of solinoid valves, etc. etc.. Not sure where to look. Just a lay person in this field. Any help would be very appreciated.

There are a few things to consider. When you say "remote control", do you mean control by radio frequency or by a solenoid valve mounted away from the cylinders?

Does this system need to use electricity or could you use all pneumatic controls? Or, could you use an electromechanical device and eliminate the pneumatics?

Are you planning to obtain ball valves that already have the cylinders attached or are you adding the cylinders yourself?

All of this can be done; it would be good get some clarity as to the approach you want to take.
